How to provide design feeback
We develop websites in an iterative process that incorporates (and requires) you feedback.
To make this process as easy and effective as possible, we use a combination of great technology, along with a workflow that keeps everything clear and organised for all parties.
This guide will quickly introduce you to the tools we’ll be using to collaborate, and also some practices that we be adhering to in order to keep things running smoothly.
How to access the project
Please follow the link that has been provided to you. Depending on your project, this may be to a broader project page, or specifically to the tool that we use for collaborative feedback. However, if you get lost, you can always access your project from this page.
How to provide feedback
Feedback can be placed for mockups as well asdirectly on websites. To provide your feedback, please
When accessing yourproject dashboard, you’ll have access to an activity tab, which will display a list of all the comments and responces, as well as access to mockups and websites that you are currently assigned to.
To get started, select either the “MOCKUPS” or the “WEBSITES” tab (depending on your project), then open the relevant project.
To provide your feedback, you’ll need to open the project. Simply click the “VIEW >” button to the right of the project name.
Clicking the project image or screenshot will display a tab showing all relevant comments, however these can also be viewed directly from the mockup or website, which is usually for smaller projects.
To place a comment on a website, simply look for the rectangular widget on the bottom right of the screen, then press the “+” icon. You will now be able to click anywhere on the screen to place a comment, just as if you were placing a post-it note on a whiteboard.
To place a comment on a mockup, simply click the screen where you would like to make a comment.
Feedback and commenting practices
There are a couple of ways that we can work to make the most out of this tool. Please read through these quickly, and please work to these as best as you can.
When you place a comment, we will start working to make whatever improvements are needed, or simply provide a response to clarify a point, or explain a decision. In either case, when you are satisfied with the response (either an update or explanation), please”resolve” the comment by clicking the “RESOLVE” checkbox on the top-left of the comment dialog box.
This will close the comment, and confirms for all that this has now been resolved.
That’s all there is to it!
